Our Statement on the 2025 G7 Leaders’ Summit

Our business ties across G7 countries show that durable relationships that are mutually beneficial are possible and desirable.

June 17, 2025

Canada’s G7 Summit discussions had a lot riding on them given the disruption and transition in the global landscape. We’ve seen a back-to-first-principles approach in this G7, bringing new leaders and very different countries together on shared interests and concerns that transcend borders. With common themes and priorities that align with and are supported by the B7 Communiqué, we consider the outcomes a positive sign. Our business ties across G7 countries show that durable relationships that are mutually beneficial are possible and desirable. We hope to see this momentum carried into the NATO and Canada-EU summits next week, as security has such a key role in this new state of play that economic security counts on.
