Advocacy

One Network. One Voice.

Backed by our vast and diverse network of members, we shape public policy so businesses can create jobs, get their products to new markets, attract capital and support families and communities across Canada.

Advocacy is at the core of what we do. As the unified voice of Canadian business, we represent our members’ interests on the issues that matter most to the business community.

By communicating the needs of business to all levels of government, we influence policies, regulations and decisions that are critical to creating a favourable environment where businesses can succeed and Canadians can flourish.

Business-led Recovery

The global pandemic is reshaping our world. The Canadian Canadians believe government is their saviour during the pandemic, but economic recovery has to be business led. Canadians can’t return to their normal lives until they are gainfully employed. In the short term, the most direct path to economic recovery is the successful management and eradication of COVID-19. The business community can play an important leadership role in developing entrepreneurial solutions to this objective.

Wins for Business

Policy Resolutions

Every year, our member chambers of commerce, along with our policy committees, submit resolutions of a national scope to our policy process. This process culminates in a democratic vote on the floor of our AGM & Convention. The adopted resolutions help set our advocacy agenda for the upcoming year.

Policy Committees & Working Groups

Comprised of members with expertise in particular fields, our policy committees and working groups advocate, research and develop policies on a variety of issues that are important to the success of Canadian business.
