Our Reaction to the WestJet Labour Disruption

For Canadians, business, and our economy, this is an unwelcome turn of events. Canadians are paying the price with a work stoppage now underway at WestJet. Travellers are stranded, time-sensitive goods are grounded, and businesses and communities across the country face further disruption during one of the busiest travel periods of the year.

Every hour matters. As the two parties have not come to a resolution, the federal government must use every tool at its disposal to bring this dispute to a swift and fair resolution that will allow air service to resume. Canadians are contending with yet another shutdown of critical transportation infrastructure that we cannot afford to watch drag on.
