Hill Day 2026 – Thematics & Agenda
Hill Day gives Canadian Chamber members the opportunity to bring the priorities of their businesses, industries and communities directly to federal decision-makers. Over two days, Hill Day attendees will hear directly from government and business leaders, participate in focused thematic meetings and connect with parliamentarians, parliamentary staff and fellow Canadian Chamber members.

Hill Day gives Canadian Chamber members the opportunity to bring the priorities of their businesses, industries and communities directly to federal decision-makers.
This year’s sessions will focus on:
| Energy, Natural Resources and Major Projects | This theme will explore policies that support responsible resource development, energy security, critical minerals, clean technology deployment, Indigenous partnerships, and major project execution to strengthen Canada’s prosperity and strategic position in a rapidly changing global economy. |
| Innovative Economy | This theme will focus on Canada’s innovation agenda, AI adoption, digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, research commercialization, regulatory modernization, and strategies to close Canada’s productivity gap while ensuring businesses can compete and grow in an increasingly digital economy. |
| International Policy and Trade | This theme will examine Canada’s trade priorities, Canada-U.S. relations, supply chain resilience, market diversification, regulatory cooperation, trade facilitation, and strategies to strengthen Canada’s competitiveness in an increasingly fragmented global economy. |
| Industry Competitiveness | This theme will explore industrial policy, regulatory modernization, tax competitiveness, advanced manufacturing, investment attraction, permitting reform, and policies that strengthen Canada’s productivity and economic growth. Discussions will also examine how Canada can build more resilient and competitive domestic industries while remaining an attractive destination for global investment. |
| Life Sciences | This theme will focus on policies that strengthen Canada’s life sciences and biomanufacturing sectors, improve regulatory efficiency, support health innovation, enhance emergency preparedness, and position Canada as a global destination for research, investment, and commercialization. |
| Reliable Supply Chains | This theme will explore transportation policy, trade-enabling infrastructure, ports, rail, aviation, border modernization, supply chain resilience, and strategies to improve Canada’s ability to move goods efficiently while supporting long-term economic growth and competitiveness. |
| Talent and Immigration | This theme will focus on workforce development, skilled trades, lifelong learning, labour mobility, credential recognition, immigration policy, and strategies to ensure Canada has the talent required to support productivity, innovation, and economic growth. |
| Defence and Economic Security | This theme will explore Canada’s defence industrial strategy, procurement modernization, critical minerals and strategic resources, cybersecurity, economic security policy, and opportunities for Canadian businesses to contribute to national security objectives while strengthening economic growth and innovation. |
