(OTTAWA) – Thursday, September 2, 2021– The Canadian Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce one of the world’s foremost entrepreneurs, adventurers and philanthropists, Sir Richard Branson, will give the welcoming remarks at its upcoming Executive Summit, titled Our Future in Space Is Now.

The founder of Virgin Group recently concluded a successful trip to space on board Virgin Galactic’s SpaceShipTwo. Branson will share his experience with participants at the September 15, 2021 summit.

“Sir Richard Branson’s leadership in space exploration is something Canadian business can learn from as we enter this golden age of aerospace,” said Canadian Chamber of Commerce President & CEO, Perrin Beatty. “We are delighted to welcome him to the stage of our executive summit as he shares his invaluable experience and infectious energy.”

Branson has elevated Virgin to one of the world’s most recognized and respected brands. The Virgin Group has expanded into many diverse sectors from travel to telecommunications, health to banking and music to leisure. More recently, as the world’s first commercial spaceline, Virgin Galactic is pioneering human spaceflight for private individuals and researchers with its advanced air and space vehicles. It is developing a spaceflight system designed to connect the world to the wonder and awe created by space travel and to offer customers a transformative experience.
