This section is directed to groups that are interested in establishing a community chamber of commerce or board of trade and outlines the steps necessary for creating an effective organization with a minimum of expense and trouble.
Federal incorporation usually means that your organization will incorporate via one of two acts: groups may choose to incorporate under the Boards of Trade Act or the Canada Not-for-Profit Corporations Act. Alternatively, you may register with your chamber with the provincial or territorial government. The decision is yours.
