Transportation

As a vast nation within an increasingly globalized economy, Canada requires robust public and private infrastructure and smart regulatory systems that allow for the smooth and efficient movement of goods and people across the country.

Our Position

Transportation is a value added sector and an economic enabler for the entire Canadian economy, allowing businesses to grow, create jobs and compete. Despite recent increases in infrastructure investment from all levels of government, trade-enabling transportation infrastructure is only a small part of Canada’s national infrastructure plan. Canada also needs a modernized transportation regulatory environment to ensure companies are not contending with an overly complex and costly operating environment compared to its competitors
