U.S. Missions

U.S. Missions

The Canadian Chamber will lead four business missions to the U.S. in 2024, focused on key areas of the Canadian economy where there are significant opportunities for growth and synergy with the U.S. economy.

In February of 2024, we launched a new Canada-U.S. Engagement Plan aimed at providing Canadian businesses opportunities to increase ties with U.S. counterparts and policymakers.

As part of its plan, the Canadian Chamber will lead four business missions to the U.S. in 2024, focused on key areas of the Canadian economy where there are significant opportunities for growth and synergy with the U.S. economy: life sciences, Canada-U.S. trade, artificial intelligence and critical minerals. The Canadian Chamber will execute these missions in collaboration with several on-the-ground U.S. partners.

Upcoming Missions to Washington, D.C.

On May 1 and 2, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with our Washington, D.C. partners – the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and the Canadian Embassy – will be holding the second of its 2024 missions in Washington, DC.

This mission will focus on North American Economic Security in the context of the 2026 CUSMA review, upcoming federal elections in all three of the member countries within the next two years, and the growing geopolitical volatility worldwide. Delegates will get an opportunity to engage on the topic of North American economic security as a shared policy objective, with a focus on opportunities for revitalizing economic cooperation between the three countries. The program will feature elected officials, policy experts and business leaders from the U.S., Mexico and Canada, who will discuss pathways to greater economic integration, business risks and opportunities, and the broader geopolitical context.

Past Missions

On April 2-3, 2024, in Washington, D.C., the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, along with its U.S. partners, facilitated engagement opportunities with trade and supply chain experts, policy makers, researchers, academia, thought leaders and industry leaders from both countries.

These interactions are designed to foster dialogue, identify key strategies and forge long-lasting relationships in the life sciences space. The focus on collaboration between Canada and the United States will unite both countries and continue to support the integration of Canada’s life sciences industry into the global supply chain, thereby enhancing our competitiveness and improving our readiness for future health emergencies.
