David Roney

David Roney is a partner in Sidley Austin LLP’s International Arbitration Group, based in Geneva, Switzerland. He acts as counsel and serves as arbitrator in a broad range of international commercial and investment arbitrations around the world. These disputes involve many different industry sectors, business transactions, governing laws and places of arbitration. Mr. Roney is a Co-Founder and President of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for International Arbitration Advocacy, a Co-Chair of the ICC Commission on Arbitration Task Force on the New York Convention and a Member of ICC Canada. He is recognized as a leading arbitration practitioner in registries such as Global Arbitration Review, Chambers & Partners, and The International Who’s Who of Commercial Arbitration.
