Stephanie Cohen is a Canadian arbitrator based in New York City. She has arbitrated international and domestic commercial disputes under the ICC, ICDR, UNCITRAL, Society of Maritime Arbitrators, ADRIC, HKIAC and AAA Commercial Rules, sitting frequently as tribunal chair or sole arbitrator, but also as co-arbitrator and emergency arbitrator. Previously, Stephanie was Counsel at White & Case LLP in New York, where she represented clients in complex, high-value disputes before international arbitration tribunals and courts. She is dually qualified as a lawyer in Ontario and New York, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and a member of arbitrator rosters for the ICDR/AAA and CPR.
Stephanie’s professional activities include, among others, serving as: Chair of the New York Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators; a member of the ICCA-NYC Bar-CPR Working Group on Cybersecurity in Arbitration; and a member of the ICC Commission.
Stephanie’s dispute resolution experience includes construction delay on power projects, distribution agreements, financial services agreements, franchise disputes, insurance coverage (in the coal mining and class action securities contexts), aircraft equipment leases and component exchange agreements, demurrage, partnership disputes, a toll road concession project, technology licensing, shareholder agreements, and executive employment agreements, among other matters.
