Myriam Seers is the Chair of the ICC Canada Arbitration Committee and an International Disputes Partner at cross-border disputes boutique Savoie Laporte LLP, which has a presence in Paris, Toronto and Montreal.

In her independent arbitrator practice, Myriam has sat as independent arbitrator in cases involving a wide range of industries, as sole arbitrator, emergy arbitrator and party-appointed arbitrator. She is a member of Arbitration Place’s NextGen roster of arbitrators, and is currently completing the requirements to become a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

In her counsel practice, Myriam represents clients in their disputes with foreign commercial counterparties and sovereign states. Most of my experience is in foreign investment protection treaty (investor-state) arbitration and international commercial arbitration. I focus primarily on the mining sector, but also have a lot of experience with the electricity (including renewable energy), oil & gas and transportation sectors. I have experience with disputes involving projects in many different parts of the world, with a particular emphasis on Latin America.
