Join us for the ICC Canada Arbitration Committee Annual Conference in the beautiful city of Vancouver on October 9 and 10, 2024. This year’s conference will take place at the Vancouver Convention Center, located on Vancouver’s stunning downtown oceanfront with mountain views.

The ICC Canada Arbitration Committee’s long-standing annual conference brings together international dispute resolution practitioners, corporate counsel and arbitrators based around the world for interactive discussion and debate on cutting-edge topics in international dispute resolution, not to mention a hefty dose of merriment, libations and camaraderie among friends old and new.

The conference will kick-off with the Annual General Meeting for the ICC Canada Arbitration Committee members on October 9, 2024. Later that evening, joint YCAP and ICC Canada Arbitration Committee welcome reception will take place at Blakes’ offices.

The main event will take place on October 10, 2024 from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm at the Vancouver Convention Center. This year’s conference theme is “Arbitration Trends in Evolving Industries” and will feature a keynote speech by Claudia Salomon, the President of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, as well as panels on:

Construction, infrastructure and energy transition
Business and human rights
Artificial intelligence, data, cybersecurity and intellectual property in the metaverse
Investor-state arbitrations (Arbitration Feud game show)

There will be lots of time for networking during breakfast, lunch, coffee breaks and the cocktail reception.

There will also be a dinner held in the evening of October 10, 2024.

Conference Co-Chairs

Alexandra Mitretodis is a litigation and dispute resolution Partner in Fasken’s Vancouver office with a practice in international and domestic commercial arbitration, commercial litigation and class action defence.

Jessica Crow is an independent arbitrator and an international law consultant with Arbitra International and academic at the University of Cambridge specializing in Energy, Climate Change and the Environment, International Dispute Resolution and Public International Law.
