Japan-Canada Chambers Council Joint Statement

The Canadian Chamber of Commerce and the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) launched the Japan Canada Chambers Council (JCCC) in 2014.

It is a shared platform to build relationships, share knowledge, and advocate policies to support bilateral trade and investment. The JCCC includes senior executives from leading member companies in both groups.

The JCCC is an annual event, hosted alternatively by the Chamber and the JCCI. It presents a unique opportunity for Canadian organizations to meet with senior business executives from some of Japan’s top companies.

On November 1, 2023, as part of the event, Tatsuo Yasunaga, Japan Chair, Japan-Canada Chambers Council and Steve Dechka, Canada Chair, Japan-Canada Chambers Council, signed the annual JCCC Joint Statement. Ambassador Ian McKay as well as Ambassador Yamanouchi also both signed the joint statement as witnesses.
