Incoterms® 2020 took effect as of January 1, 2020. The new rules reflect the changing economic landscape since the release of Incoterms® 2010 and provide specific guidance to individuals participating in the import and export of goods.

What Are Incoterms® Rules?

ICC’s Incoterms® rules are the world’s essential terms of trade for the trade of goods. Whether you are filing a purchase order, packaging and labelling a shipment for freight transport or preparing a certificate of origin at a port, the Incoterms® rules are there to guide you on the costs, risks and obligations for your business.

Training Information

We’ve teamed up with FITT, local chambers of commerce, world trade centres, economic development agencies and other associations to provide in-person training to help Canadian business get up to speed on the Incoterms® 2020 changes and what they mean.
