Intellectual Property

The intangible economy has outpaced the value of the physical economy, making the protection of intellectual property an absolute necessity to Canada’s competitiveness.

Our Position

To unleash the potential of Canadian innovation, we must promote and strengthen the protection and utilization of intellectual property. We support a multilateral approach to intellectual property protection, in line with global norms. Domestic intellectual property policy should operate seamlessly in a global environment and encourage the continued viability of multinational businesses with a strong presence in Canada.

Policy Committees

An important complement to our Policy team, many significant policy public positions originate from our committees and working groups
