Mission to Mexico City on CUSMA

February 15-17, 2026

This February, join us in Mexico City for a forward-looking dialogue on the future of the CUSMA/ USMCA/T-MEC and to enhance the Mexico-Canada bilateral relationship more broadly.

Coinciding with key portions of the Government of Canada’s 2026 Trade Mission to Mexico (TCTM), this mission—hosted by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with its on-the-ground partners—will bring a delegation of senior Canadian business leaders to Mexico City at a pivotal moment for North America’s economic future.

This mission will offer delegates a platform to contribute to discussions leading into the 2026 CUSMA Review, advance Canadian commercial priorities in Mexico, and gain direct insights from policymakers, leading industry associations, and business leaders across Mexico’s key economic sectors. Most importantly, this visit aligns with the strategic priorities of the Canada-Mexico-Action Plan (“CMAP”) announced by President Sheinbaum and Prime Minister Carney in September.

Major elements of this mission will include:

The Future of CUSMA and the Canada–Mexico Trade Relationship: Explore what the 2026 review means for Canada–Mexico economic ties, and how all three partners can modernize the agreement to reflect today’s innovation landscape, digital economy, sustainability imperatives, and inclusive growth goals.

Strengthening North American Supply Chains and Industrial Resilience: Identify new opportunities for cooperation in critical sectors, including clean energy, manufacturing, agri-food, and digital services—areas where Mexico can play an increasingly strategic role for Canadian companies.

Translating Policy into Opportunity: Engage with Mexican government officials, business leaders, trade experts, and policy experts to understand how policies and reforms are shaping the operating environment, and how Canadian firms can position themselves for long-term success.
