About the B7 Summit
The Business 7 (B7) is the most significant and recognized of the G7 Engagement Groups, representing the interests of the business community across G7 nations. It plays a critical role in developing actionable policy proposals for G7 leaders, ensuring business perspectives drive economic policymaking.
This year, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce will lead the B7 presidency, aligning with Canada’s G7 presidency, to shape discussions on economic security, resilience and innovation.
Who Attends?
The B7 Summit convenes 600+ senior business leaders, policymakers, government officials and industry experts from G7 nations to discuss global economic challenges and advance policy solutions that drive economic growth and stability.

The Group of Seven (G7) is an alliance of seven of the world’s leading economies — Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States, plus the European Union — committed to addressing global economic and geopolitical challenges.
The Business 7 (B7) represents the business and industry associations of these nations, advocating for economic policies that foster global stability and growth.

B7 Summit Goal
The Summit culminates in the presentation of the B7 Communiqué, a policy document outlining key economic recommendations for G7 leaders. The 2025 communiqué will be delivered to the Government of Canada ahead of the G7 Summit in Kananaskis, Alberta (June 15-17, 2025) to ensure the business community’s voice is heard.
