The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) is one of the largest free trade agreements in the world. On March 8, Canada signed the CPTPP, which will provide Canadian businesses with unprecedented market access to the more than 495 million consumers in the Asia-Pacific region.
To help Canada’s agri-food businesses position themselves for success, we are launching a series of three workshops. The first workshop occurred on May 10, in Langley B.C. with our partners Export Action Global and our local partner, the BC Chamber.
These interactive workshops will provide agri-food companies with concrete steps they can take to position their business for success in Japan and other CPTPP countries once the agreement comes into force. This includes a market entry plan, understanding how to protect IP, navigating product labeling and regulatory regimes, as well as securing logistics partners.
First workshop: May 10, Langley, B.C.
Other workshop dates and locations will be announced shortly.
